The First Trailer Of Transformers One Caused Heated Debate Among Fans

A few days ago, the official trailer of Transformers One was released and created a lot of mixed opinions in the fan community.

For a long time, Transformers has become the hen that layss the Golden Egg for Paramount Pictures. Although the appeal of this brand is no longer as explosive as it was in 2010 (even showing signs of rapid decline),  many fans still love and follow each new project related to Transformers.

After the movie Transformers: Rise of the Beasts was quite poor (in terms of both revenue and reputation), Paramount is trying a new direction to find a way to revive the brand that once dominated the movie market. Accordingly, they decided to produce an animated film with the theme of Transformers. The name of this project is Transformers One, implying that this is the first part in a completely new series.

Immediately after the first trailer of Transformers One was released, the work received a lot of attention, however, not everyone expressed interest and anticipation about the upcoming work, and there were also many negative comments about this animated movie.

Accordingly, the praising side said that the plot of Transformers One is extremely potential when digging deep into the past of Transformers and the relationship between Optimus Prime and Megatron. More importantly, this film will not have the appearance of humans as the entire work will focus on the world of Transformers. The storytelling style also changes in a timely manner when the work takes on a humorous and cheerful direction, in contrast to the seriousness and dryness of many previous names. The shaping is also considered a "breakthrough" by many audiences because the Transforming Robots look minimalist and have less angles, and their faces are more "human".

However, there are also many viewers who do not like the upcoming film. They think that the characters' designs look too childish and not suitable for an action-oriented brand like Transformers. Especially Optimus Prime, when shaping this character in Transformers One, is considered the most "despicable" Optimus on screen. The plot is boring and lacks emphasis, and the story direction is also quite different from other Transformers movies. In particular, what makes many viewers dislike this film is because the "explosive" battle scenes have almost disappeared and the work feels like a completely different story.

The fact that Transformers One created many mixed opinions is a great opportunity for Paramount as it will help the work get more attention, but at the same time it is also a great risk for the film, because if things get out of hand control, there is a high possibility that the new film will flop right from the opening stage.
