Boruto: Is reviving the Nine-Tails an unwise move by Masashi Kishimoto
Just like Jujutsu Kaisen, the new chapter in the Boruto manga is facing many mixed opinions when the Nine-Tails is reborn in Himawari's body.
I don't know if the authors discussed it with each other in advance or not, but the anime and manga community has not been at peace lately. From Aoyama Gosho confirming the relationship between Conan (Shinichi) and Kid in the 27th movie to the shocking information when the new chapter of the manga Jujutsu Kaisen turns Yuji and Sukuna from enemies into "uncle and nephew". Manga Boruto also does not want to stay out of the game. In the new chapters, Masashi Kishimoto helped Kyubi Kurama "revive", and at the same time, in some miraculous way, the Nine-Tails appeared inside Himawari's body and transformed. The girl becomes a Jinchuuriki.
The above detail has created mixed reactions in the Naruto/Boruto community as some people feel excited that a favorite character like the Nine-Tails is returning, while others criticize it severely because the return of Kurama has made Boruto's plot looser.
Everyone knows that the Nine-Tails died forever after Naruto used the Baryon state. Kurama himself confirmed this, unlike the normal Jinchuuriki state, Baryon uses the Nine-Tails' chakra to produce a completely new type of energy. In this state, Naruto will have outstanding strength, enough to compete with Isshiki Otsutsuki. The disadvantage of Baryon mode is that the nine-tailed fox has to pay the price of its life.
After the Baryon state ended, the audience had to say goodbye to Kurama. And according to what the fox said, this time it will really "die" unlike other times in the past. The nature of the Tailed Beasts is that nine different parts of the Ten-Tails' chakra are separated, so even if they are destroyed, they can still be revived with a physical body after many years, but on the condition that the number of chakra The original is not affected.
That's why the episode where the Nine-Tails suddenly revived in Himawari's body made many fans uncomfortable. This is like the author destroying his own work when Boruto's plot negates the plot of Naruto series. Even assuming that the Nine-Tails' words were unreliable and that it still had the ability to revive after Baryon mode was activated, there was no way the Tailed Beast would suddenly appear in a human's body. Then in the past, the Villages would not have had to sacrifice so many lives to seal the Tailed Beast.
It can be said that the details in the new chapter of the Boruto manga have destroyed the audience's entire perception of the Tailed Beast and created a super big hole in the plot. Now when "supermen" like the Otsutsuki family appear, the role of the Tailed Beasts is no longer important, but that does not mean that the audience's attention and interest in them has decreased. If author Masashi Kishimoto does not provide a reasonable explanation for upcoming developments, it will be difficult to "save" a work that has reached a dead end like Boruto.
