My Hero Academia reveals the biggest hint about the ending

My Hero Academia's official Twitter account recently confirmed that the "final battle" is entering its climax from the next chapter, indicating that the manga will soon end.

The My Hero Academia manga has been slowly approaching its story's conclusion for a while now. The manga has entered the Final War Arc, the storyline ending in 2022 with chapter 343.

Since then, My Hero Academia has made a lot of progress in its plot and characters. Main characters such as All Might, Bakugo, Uraraka and Shoto as well as other supporting characters have all finished their stories. Now the only person left is the main character Deku.

The final arc of the manga has been going on for about two years. The My Hero Academia author Kohei Horikoshi also made it clear in a previous interview that the manga will not be a never-ending story, fans have known for a long time that the manga will end soon.

Now there's finally a concrete hint at the manga's upcoming ending, thanks to a post on the official My Hero Academia Twitter account.

In a post promoting the sale of Weekly Shonen Jump issue 24, the official My Hero Academia account tweeted, "The final battle is reaching its climax!!"

The post clearly states that My Hero Academia chapter 422 of issue 24 of Weekly Shonen Jump is the final part of the Final War Arc. From chapter 423, the manga will finally enter its proper climax.

Given the pace of the manga, with chapters coming out almost weekly and the number of characters left to explore, it's safe to assume that My Hero Academia will end this year or next.

Chapter 422 of My Hero Academia is titled "Izuku Midoriya: Rising" and focuses on Deku as he gets ready to fight All For One, even after becoming Quirkless. Now, with the ending of My Hero Academia confirmed, readers can expect to see the final battle in the upcoming chapter.

On the anime front, My Hero Academia season 7 premieres in spring 2024 and is currently streaming on Crunchyroll with two episodes already released.
